December is a busy month with lots of celebration. Which means, unfortunately, I do not very many projects to report! No need to feel glum, I do have a few things to showcase that I completed!
EDITORIAL LETTERING – Dog Breed

Lagotto Romagnolos I learned were primarily a truffle dog. I wanted a texture that looked FUNGI-ish. I found inky red splotches on UNSPLASH from Creator Pawel Czerwinski. This texture was something I transformed with a little TLC into the glittering gold creeping in along the left of the LAGOTTO lettering.

EDITORIAL GRAPHIC – Mini Poodle Clip

I have also spent more time exploring and refining my Photoshop skills. Photoshop has never been my forte. I wanted to showcase this recent editorial graphic. The poodle was in a grooming shop in the original photo. I worked on my masking and clipping skills to remove the background. I added calming lavender vectors that complimented the poodle’s coat color behind it.
Dabbling in Watercolors!

I am new to this medium but have cut many large 9″ x 12 sheets down to practice. I first started with photos I found in FoodNetwork magazine. It is a learning process but I have a passion for CREATIVITY! I feel like I already have a “style,” though which is exciting!

I plan to add these to an Etsy shop as cards or wall prints.

As I mentioned before, not a whole lot of projects to round up. Quality over quantity I suppose! If you like any of these projects, comment below. AND if you REALLY liked them, be sure to contact PENNYDOODLES for freelance projects by e-mailing violetinkdesign@gmail.com.

I love this blog…I went back and re read October and November. Besides your beautiful work, the explanation into design approach is very interesting. The blood Orange water color is striking. Can’t wait for January. I will gift someone special one of your pieces for sure.
