January was full of resolutions and renewal! My goal for the year of 2022 is to LEARN and CREATE more. I did a lot more paintings, participated Adobe Challenges, and created some new favorites in the category of editorial layout.

LEARNING TO LOVE – EDITORIAL

Adobe LIVE taught me this neat use of Illustrator’s BLEND TOOL. The font I used was CASEY and I can see myself using it again and again. It’s groovy baby 😉

I really really REALLY stinking enjoyed working on this piece. Not only is the message beautiful, the font pairings turned out well and I am confident in the colors I chose. This font will pop up in my designs again, got some good ideas brewing!

BRANDING – ACORN AIRLINES

WATERCOLOR – PET MEMORIAL

A friend of mine was kind enough to approach me on painting this pup for a friend of hers. I am STILL working on my watercolors and worked from a photo. The pup sadly passed on so this painting will live on as a memorial. I hope I did their dog justice! Thank you for this opportunity to grow my skills, Shelly!

WATERCOLOR – HIPPO VALENTINE

And last but not least, an adorable little hippo for another friend of mine. She planned to give this as a Valentine’s card and even found a really great matching PUN; I LOVE YOU A TON! Thankful for all my friends who support my passion and search for inspiration.
